he main objective of this paper is to present a detailed study concerning the modeling of passive optical devices, controlled by the linear electro-optic Pockels effect [1]-[8], particularly the Mach-Zehnder devices. First it is studied the anisotropic media in general where is deduced the electro-optic tensor and the appropriate indexes ellipsoid expressions to a crystal such as lithium niobate, for a uniaxial media.
